Abstract:

Educational institutions improve efficiency and effectiveness by implementing an Academic Management Information System (AMIS).  AMIS implementation at SDN Batutulis 2 is examined regarding academic administration, data management, and stakeholder satisfaction.  The research uses qualitative methods like observations, interviews, and document analysis to understand implementation, obstacles, and benefits.  The AMIS at SDN Batutulis 2 helps with student data administration, scheduling, attendance tracking, and report generating.  These capabilities greatly decrease administrative workload and ensure data correctness and reliability.  Teachers, students, and parents can communicate more easily, creating a collaborative learning environment.  However, the research also finds technical support, user training, and system downtime issues.  These challenges impede system use and require strategic actions.  To maximise AMIS benefits, the study emphasises teacher and administrative personnel training and development.  System stability and efficiency require regular maintenance and updates.  The research emphasises the necessity for user-centric AMIS design and implementation to meet school community demands.  The effective implementation of AMIS at SDN Batutulis 2 shows its potential to transform primary education academic management.  The school can maximise system use to improve academic and administrative operations by addressing the highlighted issues.  Policymakers and educators looking to establish similar methods in other schools can learn from this study.  The long-term effects of AMIS on student achievement and institutional effectiveness should be studied.
