The Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) represents a significant shift in Indonesia’s education system, emphasizing flexibility, holistic student development, and the freedom for educators to design learning activities tailored to student needs. The successful implementation of this curriculum requires not only structural changes but also a supportive organizational culture. Positive Organizational Behavior (POB) is an approach that fosters an optimistic, resilient, and growth-oriented environment, making it an ideal framework for facilitating this transition. This paper explores how the principles of POB can be applied to support the adaptation of the Independent Curriculum at Al Azkar School, Tangerang. By focusing on key elements such as psychological capital (self-efficacy, hope, optimism, and resilience), positive leadership, and collaborative teamwork, the school can create an environment that encourages innovation, embraces change, and ensures the well-being of both teachers and students. The discussion also highlights practical strategies for integrating POB into daily school operations, professional development programs, and stakeholder engagement. Through implementing POB, Al Azkar School can enhance its organizational capacity to adapt to the Independent Curriculum, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and student-centred learning. This approach supports the curriculum transition and aligns with the school’s mission to cultivate a positive and nurturing educational environment.
