The success formula of Antique, Philippines, grade VI mathletes was researched. Selecting Grade 6 mathletes and teacher-coaches from the top 35 In Antique, descriptive-correlational research was used to study Metrobank-MTAP-DEPED Math Challenge Elimination Round for Grade 5. Researchers used a validated mathletes success formula questionnaire checklist to collect data. In addition to the coach’s profile and a 50-item Metrobank-MTAP-DEPED Math Challenge Elimination Rounds for the Grade 6 exam measuring mathletes’ intrinsic mathematical ability, an information sheet collected demographic and math achievement data. Due to their enthusiasm for math, grade six mathletes win contests. Their mathematical skills and competition performance are good. Parents’ education helps mathletes. Income impacts mathletes’ performance. Success in maths competitions depends on training length and frequency. Experience teaching and coaching may not affect maths achievement. Mathletes won competitions with self-motivation, teaching effectiveness, instructional/review materials, purposeful math training, parental moral support, peer support, and intrinsic mathematical skills. The study advises that the education department create programs, trainings, and events for pupils to improve their maths skills through friendly and constructive competitions. These activities should help high-performing and failing maths students improve their numeracy. Arithmetic teachers need more training and seminars to improve their teaching and coaching skills, which is vital to student success. Parents and friends should help coach and assist students to excel in arithmetic and compete in math competitions.
