Abstract:

The fast adoption of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in Human Resource (HR) departments is a big change in corporate governance and employee management. This paper explores the two-sided nature of GenAI with respect to ethical issues of algorithmic bias and organisational challenges of technical changes. Researchers examine the impact of automated systems on recruitment, performance appraisal and employee engagement. The study uses a carefully selected data set comprising 216 instances of varying corporate situations across industries. To perform this analysis, researchers used state-of-the-art natural language processing and predictive modelling software to model HR decision-making environments. The results imply that the efficiency benefits are significant, but the chances of recreating past biases and diminishing interpersonal trust are also high. This paper explains why a balanced framework is needed to balance technological innovation and human-centric ethical standards. The study provides organisations with a roadmap to manage the complexities of AI adoption by examining specific data and ensuring compliance with new digital labour laws.
