Abstract:

Women-led ventures play a crucial role in promoting inclusive economic growth; however, noticeable differences in business performance continue to pose challenges. This study examines the impact of education on the performance of women-owned businesses, with special reference to the role of entrepreneurial personality. The study explores the moderated-moderation relationship between education and business performance with respect to entrepreneurial personality traits (innovativeness, risk-taking ability, proactiveness) and, using the moderated-moderation framework, investigates differences in this relationship across various contextual conditions. The primary data were collected from women entrepreneurs and analyzed statistically using the appropriate techniques. The findings suggest that education has a positive impact on business performance, with this impact increasing with the presence of positive entrepreneurial personality traits. The results also illustrate the complex and dynamic relationship between entrepreneurial success, as it is a combined interaction effect that varies across levels of the moderating variables. This study provides relevant information for designing educational programs and developing policy and entrepreneurship support programs to enhance women’s entrepreneurship and business performance.
